Because I’m an idiot, and I should forward-plan more, and because I’m the absolute worst time-keeper that has ever lived – tomorrow I am going to miss the early opportunity to see one of the movies from my Top 8 Most Anticipated of 2010.
It’s a way in advance screening too. Damn. Why do I always leave things too late to get sorted out?
Those movies on my list again and in order,? – Inception, Shutter Island, Toy Story 3, Kick-Ass, Iron Man 2, Cemetery Junction, Scot Pilgrim vs. The World, Hereafter.
As Travis Bickle says in Taxi Driver;? “One of these days I’m gonna get organezized”.
Let’s be honest. It’s not been a greatyear for Mel Gibson. But with the intriguing Apocalyptoon the horizon for 2007, things look to be on the up for the Bravehearthelmer.
Arriving in cinemas on7 January, the adventure is based around the Mayan civilisation -its idyllic existence broken when one of their number is snatched and taken on a harrowing journey. The action follows the man’s fight to free himself and save his people.
With the flick arriving in US cinemas at the end of this week, the weekend witnessed a debut for this TV spot and we’ve managed to track it downat comingsoon.net for you.

Being a big fan of Brittany Murphy’s work in Clueless, Sin City, and 8 Mile, I was saddened by her sudden passing yesterday morning. Even though many of her projects weren’t exactly my cup of tea, whenever I did see one of her films I always thought she brought a fun, bubbly nature to the screen. There’s no doubt that she possessed a great deal of talent. It’s a shame we can no longer see it grow.
Check out a few more fun, bubbly pics of Brittany after the jump.
Her performance in True Grit paquined her into the hearts of the Academy and now Paramount wants to drill into that appeal and convert it to dollars.
The studio has set up Forgotten for the fourteen-year old actress. Based upon a novel by Cat Patrick, the story is centered around a young girl whose memory is wiped clean every night at 4:33. The following morning all that she can remember is her future. When she then meets a boy, she becomes frustrated that she can’t find him in any of her future memories. Which makes sense to me. Would you date a girl that could see the future? You’d never be able to eat Doritos for breakfast again. (Deadline)
“I’m not the new Frodo,” insists 17-year-old Ed Speleers, titular hero of Eragon, next year’s big fantasy flick. “Frodo doesn’t end up with a girl. He ponces about a bit in his big, furry feet…”
Eragon is the brainchild of author Christopher Paolini, who spawned the boy-and-his-dragon publishing sensation when he was still a teen. Starring Jeremy Irons, Robert Carlyle and, um, Joss Stone, it’s guaranteed beefy box-office success on its December 2006 release thanks to legions of fans worldwide. “I’m excited, but I don’t want to feel scared by it,” laughs Speleers on his forthcoming fame. “Who’s going to complain if you’re walking down the carpet and you’ve got lots of girls screaming at you?” Who indeed?

Naomi Watts may have been completely ignored during this year’s Oscar nominations, but that hasn’t stopped the actress bagging a coveted role in Clint Eastwood’s new movie. She has joined the cast of J. Edgar, a biopic that tracks the life of renowned FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. Leo DiCaprio has already signed on to play the man himself.Watts will reportedly take on the role of Helen Gandy, the woman who was Hoover’s secretary for over 54 years between 1918-1972.The role was originally being considered by Charlize Theron, who eventually turned it down in favour of a part in Snow White And The Huntsman.J. Edgar will also star Judi Dench, Ed Westick, Armie Hammer and Josh Lucas. We wonder if Watts will get that deserved second Oscar nod for the role in the next couple of years…
